Learn about game development
Let's learn some game development first! The following is a list of Udemy courses where you can learn Unity.
First, try to release the game right away.
The sooner you experience success, the more motivated you will be to continue developing games.
Therefore, try to release your game as soon as possible.
It can be on any platform, such as AppStore, Google Play, or Unityroom.
Confronting the fact that it was released but not installed
And I think that most individual game developers have trouble getting people to play the games they create.
I'm struggling with this problem myself, and I'm trying to do the following three things.
- Announce on social networking sites
- Ask a game review site
- Run your own Blog or Youtube
If you are rich, you may also want to promote your game through advertising.(However, I believe that spending before earning a profit is dangerous in personal game development.)
Let's take a closer look at each.
Announce on social networking sites
Announcements on social networking sites are essential in this day and age. If you're not using social networking, this is your chance to start!
Twitter is a good choice because it is particularly diffusive.
Ask a game review site
There are many sites in the world that review games for you.
If you are interested, please read the following article for a list of review sites where you can get published for free.
Run your own Blog or Youtube
It takes a lot of time and effort to grow a blog and Youtube into a big business, but if you can, I think you'll thank your past self in a few years if you work on it in parallel with game development.
It can be a money-free advertisement, or it can be a way to secure revenue from your blog or Youtube alone.
Personal game development is a long-distance run.
I have been developing apps and games, and I believe that it is difficult to get an immediate effect from anything.
If you want to lose weight in a healthy way, you need to improve your diet and exercise steadily.
The same can be said for game development.
I'm still a work in progress, so let's do our best to develop games together!
- First, let's release the game right away.
- Announce the release of your game on your SNS and blog media.
- And keep releasing them as regularly as possible.
- Let's do what we can do steadily every day.
Thank you for reading to the end.
